Home Network Weekend Project
This weekend I wanted to chill from school and work to make some new shorter CAT6 cables for my “network locker”. My network locker includes 2 NAS devices, one Wifi access point, 8 port switch and maybe a future Windows server. Currently the Windows server is else where in the house. Everything has a cable just long enough to reach the switch and its all nice and clean.
I labeled what each switch port connects to as well as what IP address each device has on my nice little white board. I feel very successful for such an easy and small project.
The actual work project, at work is going great too. We have most things racked and cabled so we are at the point of setting up VMs or what ever else needs to be done. Here are some images.

Nice job. You’ve got to teach me the basics sometime.
